I used to make lofi on Soundcloud 8 years ago, back when the genre was still finding itself. You had cool artists like bsdu, blvk , halberd, driver, the deli etc... I could go on. Lofi was so experimental, you had scenes from movies at the start, the songs would randomly cut and begin again. SP404 was great. Now, it's all study beats and this streamlined dogshit. It's so sterilized and i wonder what happened. Real ones remember Chilled Cow
