No I haven’t yet I need guitar center to refund me first so I can afford to pay UPS to ship it so I can afford to pay the mechanic to fix my car even though he’s the one who broke it

I’m kind of considering refinishing it at some point, Daphne blue is the color I like best of the four available finishes for this model but I’ve always loved the look of a black Jag. It seems like such a waste to strip a perfectly fine factory finish to refinish to something as plain as black though

It’s ok, it makes a fun sound but the foam pushing up on the strings makes the guitar go sharp. I need to adjust it but in order to adjust it I need to take the bridge off and I don’t want to do that until I replace the bridge next week. It’ll be fun to fool around with when it stays in tune but I might just take it off if I don’t end up using it
>>

how do you play a short scale comfortably?
>>
>>128724554

>>
>>128724554
Can you play a regular 25.5” scale Fender guitar with a capo on the first fret? It feels no different than that. Strings get looser with less tension so I play either 11s or 12s on them and then the tension feels normal
>>

>>
How do you fix fret buzz on a classical guitar with no truss rod?
>>
>>128724467
>clean up your technique
How
>>
>>128724671
Take it to a specialist. Could just need a saddle or nut adjustment. Rarely do you need to do anything drastic, as long as they were taken care of over the years.
>>
Either the nut is slotted low, action is too low at the saddle, or uneven frets. Take it to a guitar tech if you don't know how to diagnose which one.
>>
>>128724712
It's a new guitar but on the cheaper side. I'm fairly satisfied with it but if I pick just a little too hard on some notes it really starts buzzing. Not only that but it's producing some weird harmonic sounds too which bother me more than the buzzing itself.
>>
>>128723213
Butterscotch and blonde are different finishes.
Blonde looks amazing on a Tele. The original Telecasters Leo Fender made were blonde because it showed up really well on black and white televisions. It's the original color and as a result sort of the "default" Telecaster color.
Butterscotch is different, it's darker and transparent, and I just don't really like it as much
>>
Telecaster bros, do these guitars just always buzz? My guitar is setup, the relief is correct, the action is correct, the intonation is correct. I literally got it PLEK'd a few months back because the frets were uneven and the frets are all perfect
It still just has a buzz to it on the low strings. Always has. Are Teles just buzzy instruments?

i absolute loathe these types that just obsess over guitars as fetishistic items or items where they neverendingly calculate worth, resale value, how they 'play' their tone, how aesthetic the wiring is, etc
they are DORKS
and i mean that in a very negative manner

you can be a guitar geek where you geek out on shit but that is so different than this retarded corporate style outlook on guitars

I never used to want a les paul junior and always thought they were just stupid looking les paul things
but then i went through a big rolling stones/keith richards phase and saw him playing his a lot and now i think they're cool as fuck
just a no nonsense stripped down les paul
>>
>>128728136
this is fairly recent though, in the past couple of years. i actually think the whole relic craze is what prompted paul to start finishing his guitars in nitro

i don't think paul will ever cuck out and start doing relic's, they have never been his thing.
>>
>>128728157
For me, it's Johnny Thunders..but the double cuts aren't common.
>>
>>128728136
What's even the point? Is it poly just for the bulk of the clear then nitro for the sake of making it le vintage shitty later on?

i think this the nicest looking one
i dont know if i want to build one with the pickguard or just do a normal build like a lespaul with no guard

usually i think top routs with guards look kinda cheap but the one on this guitar looks pretty good and top routing is easier
>>
>>128728231
I don't know. I know some people complain about it. But not all of them are done that way. Kind of hard to tell which is which. If it's says "thin skin lacquer" like for transparent finishes, it's not one of the poly undercoats. But there are apparently others without it too.
>>
>>128728189
he just hasn't found a way to spin it as a tone improvement yet
give it time
>>
>>128728231
its for marketing
people just see 'nitro' and cream their pants
nitro has no build so you have to put like 100 coats on and grain fill which is a pain in the ass
poly you spray one coat of sealer and all your grain is filled then you only need a base coat, color then 1 or 2 clear and you are done, and its way easier to buff
and each coat dries in like an hour instead of taking a day or 4 for nitro
>>
>>128728272
Poly polishes like crap imo and nitro is super thin. It makes sense if they can speed up their process and upcharge.
>>
>>128728283
4 days? How many coats of nitro do they end up using? Is there a respray window like paint in the first 2 hours?
>>
A fine tale you can spin, mister. Reckon you know a few chords to go with it, too. Hee hee hee... Thats fine and who doesnt like a good jig... But I dont want no part in that notebook of musing you got there. "So it seems, so it seems...", the Sweetwater customer service tech said into the phone, barley audible in the reverb of the underground cave chamber.

I can't even tell if mine has an undercoat. It's a sunburst, with only some wear. But it looks like normal wood underneath, in the spots the wear gets that far. Doesn't look like poly underneath.

good quality poly polishes insanely better than nitro
professional poly is extremely expensive per gallon... way more expensive than nitro
bottom of the barrel auto poly is about 300 dollars a gallon, stuff that automakers use or show cars is like 800 bucks a gallon
its used because it saves that much time in finishing
>>128728387
im exaggerating with time between sprays with nitro but usually you shoot 3 coats over a day and let it sit, then 3 more, then 3 more, then 3 more, then you have to let it sit for a month before you polish it

with poly you spray, wait 15 min, spray, wait 15 min, spray, wait 15 min, spray, wait 15 min, let it sit for a couple hours then you can already polish

thing that is weird is that poly doesnt check, but vintage Fenders were finished in Fullerplast starting in the late 50s/early 60s which is polyester sealer that acts as a grain fill
so its pretty similar to what companies do today with spraying nitro over poly

personally i like the way nitro looks better because its duller and the gloss isn't so deep as with poly
>>
None of the music I want to play really uses chords that aren't power but every lesson series just focuses on chords in the beginning
>>
>>128728584
My best guitar is poly finished, but it's a Classical/acoustic. On electrics, if it gets any wear, it looks like broken plastic. As long as you can keep it in shape, it's great.
