I'm an aussie staying in NYC for December and wanna see some up-and-coming bands / musicians that are playing in the area

I'm open to anything really, all I've booked so far is some tranny hyperpop (Danny Brown with Femtanyl and Underscores)

probably ask some NYC reddit about it. Honestly I'm just skimming through OhMyRockness (I don't like the title, makes me think Elvis Claus is gonna climb down my chimney). It's amusing seeing who's either still alive, big enough to headline.

gay notes (these are not recommendations, just things I thought were amusing)
- dungeon synth dudes doing a gig at TV Eye on the 13th. Grandma's cottage, that cozy shit.
- The 8-bit big band is playing Sony Hall on the 29th (i guess they're filling the role of pops orchestras?)
- John Waters Christmas celebration
