Mine is that this album (and really the band too) is actually mediocre at best with the one exception of Silver, the one haunting and short idiosyncratic song in it that I love and every fucking fan of it hates. This made me resentful of fans of the Pixies and now to piss them off I just call them subpar, overgrown Gun Club imitators that could never even hope of having the spirit that Jeffrey Lee Pierce had. I have been called a freak for this opinion and I relish it

I don't think Sonic Youth makes good music, I appreciate the influence that they inspired so much what would later be known as indie and alternative rock music, but I just don't care for their music at all. It's way too dissonant and boring for me.

>>128729648Yeah, kinda agree with thisPixies, on the other hand, are great. I don't love everything of theirs, but they have a lot of excellent songs. Debaser, Monkey Gone to Heaven, Wave of Mutilation, Here Comes Your Man, Hey and Gouge Away on this record alone.
