To this day I still am astounded about the amount of people I meet who are super into music and have a wide well-experienced taste and haven't even heard of Camel. It's not like this is an obscure band, what's going on? Them and Alan Parsons.
I never heard of them until I started browsing /prog/
Maybe progdorks need to realize they're not that fucking important. Classicalfags and jazzfags never put up such uppity tantrums when they find out no one listens to Haydn or Ahamd Jamal anymore.
Lady Fantasy has ascended to the status of "Wow, how am I 69.420 years old and hearing this masterpiece for the first time only now? Wild!" on Youtube comment sections which is more than nothing
They were in Fire Emblem and shit!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDNCs7tH8U4

>>128735812they're second tier prog which is a genre that is unfairly hated so it has a lot going against it as far as optics is concerned but its a gem and there for the real music fans to discover and love

I like Camel but they're not really that special or essential, I don't know why there's an uptick on Camel fans on /mu/ lately who are trying to make them seem like some pillar of progressive rock.
