I don't think I blinked for a week."I was typing and typing and typing and typing and... typing and typing. And then people would do these scripts where they would come to the chatrooom."There was this one guy named Shit; he would go in there and just type the word shit. Shitshitshitshitshitshitshitshitshit."It was like, OK, we had to figure out how do you catch the frame, get his IP, block the IP...

>>128755766They all do it now. They tour with computer rigs that simulate and pipe their guitar/bass sounds through the PA, so no one tours with walls of stacks any more.

>>128757601Frank bought a 50 000 synclavier when he could have just bought an Amiga with Midi connection, and installed a soundtracker for maybe a few thousand bucks.

>>128775322>Frank bought a 50 000 synclavier when he could have just bought an Amiga with Midi connectionAmiga didn't exist when he got the Synclavier (1982). I recall the only other composer using one at the time was Oscar Peterson. Also consider that Frank was a traditional composer, so the interface was important, too. The first Amiga program for MIDI was Music Studio (1986). It couldn't do what Frank needed without polyphonic or resolution limitations working against him. I'm sure if he lived longer, he probably would've learned to use Cakewalk on a MAC or something along those lines in the later 90s.
>>128779244probably the most legit computer nerd in this thread, todd was programming computers in the 70s when you needed to be a fucking maniac to use them correctly. he even said if he wasn't successful with music, his main job would probably be programming.
