>>128776543the critical lauding of this minor album was one of the first signs that the "indie" scene was going in a bad direction. here's a guy who once set out to make grand ambitious works of art and now he was just doing sad whisper folk (dozens better were made in the 70s). as far as acoustic sufjan goes, seven swans was ten times better! but what the indie algorithm wants is sad little background music.
