You can also get the scallops yourself, they help you grip the strings better. I'd recommend if you get scallops in your guitar get em in one that has a whammy bar, on your most complete guitar and make that your skill based guitar for all around practice and all that. >>128831026Two things. First thing is boring but it's just keep trying to do them. Second thing is look at where your fingers land. You want them as close to the fret marker as you can go without being on top of or crossing it. Not the middle of the fret or further back (look at the picture you used). Use the harder outside length of your forefinger as well, not the meaty underside. With that you'll get it before you know it.

Tim Buckley wasn't good at barre chords because of a hand injury he had in high school, but he's still great.

You need to strengthen your upper back and shoulder muscles otherwise you’re gonna get fucked up hand problems.

I haven’t seen any anons suggest a setup yet. Post pic of your string height above the fretboard. Lots of guitars come from the factory with very high strings and need an adjustment at the nut and/or at the saddles. Nut height is set with special nut files and saddle height is set either with screws on electric or by popping out saddle to sand underside on acoustic. >>128830636based
