This guy, and bear in mind I've never watched him but just seen shit posted here about him (I don't watch Youtube, bothers my autism) seems like the stereotypical Redditor who basically just works with some marketing company to push the latest garbage but also show he has street cred so he will talk about a remaster when that's up for sale too.The problem with music journalism has always been that it's really difficult to communicate the gist of a piece of music to a general audience, who you can't assume can even READ music. So you end up making all kinds of very loose analogies and talk about very basic elements of the piece like hey the drums are really tight here, almost PUNCTUAL, and people wonder why you'd say such things.It was shit enough in writing that I used to only read Rolling Stone and the various ZINES for a laugh, but now it's exploded into this bottom feeding scum sucking interface with all kinds of unsavory advertisers too. Blogs, talking head videos like this doof. Endless reviews of everything. For every minute of music that makes it into print and is given an ad budget, there must be an hour of faux-viral commentary.
