Robert Palmer? He's gay, but the music isn't gay. Rick Astlery isn't gay but I think his music is gay. Peter Gabriel's too for whatever reason, it just strikes me as gay but I don't think he's gay.In fact if you could name you top three pop bands, post-1980, I could easily tell if you're gay and that's your entire thing, or if you're gay but not a flaming queen performative gay, or if you are straight but like occupationally gay (like in theater) or if you're straight and not even "possibly" a bit gay.
