In my opinion, being in a band past 30 years old is pointless. It's a young man's game. If you make music by yourself, that's perfectly normal to do until you die, but performing in a band outside of your 20s is lame as fuck.

It's the opposite now, really. There's a zillion zoomer "bedroom producers" whereas actually owning equipment and knowing how to play, and actually going out at night to see it done, is a 30+ activity these days.
33 here. I make music on my own at home, which I did in my 20s as well, but there would be nothing wrong with getting out and playing shows due to my age. I'm still relatively young and able to play, so why wouldn't I?
