It was actually pretty good. The instrumentals actually sounded modern, like most of these songs could've happened today. I liked whenever it got all artsy and psychedelic, I could picture all those crazy images in my head. She's Leaving Home is a genuinely moving song, Within You, Without You is so cool and mysterious, When I'm Sixty-Four is jovial and sweet, A Day in a Life...just...A Day in a Life.I don't know about "best album ever made" but yeah I get the hype.
you gotta understand that at its time this album was mind-blowing, it changed how we percieve and consume musicThis album is what created the concept of consuming music as albums, looking up for studio albums, creating albums with a certain aesthetic, feeling, style, etc.
Would be a 10/10 without George’s indiaslop. Thank you Paul for only allowing him to have one song on the album this time
>>128847790What's up with the lettering in your pic? And yeah, it's pretty great.
>>128848193Indiaslop > burgerslop
>>128848658They’re a British band anon
Who are the Bartles?
>>128848658Burgerslop > shitting into your hands and clapping > indiaslop
>>128850409The same guys behind Yillow Submarine, Revulver, and St. Popper's Lonely Hearths Club Bant, of course
>>128847790>>128847818>>128848193Weird, /mu/ absolutely hated this band before 2016. You guys probably would've been made fun of for these posts if you were old enough to be here.
Hot takeI think the majority of Beatles recordings sounds like trash. Flat, unbalanced, drums sounds like Ringo hitting cardboard boxes, shit guitar tones, distorted vocals. Very mid heavy.I know they were for the majority of the recordings limited to a 4 track tape recorder and had to bounce shit down, but it all just sounds so bad, especially compared to american recordings at the time.
>>128847790I have to agree with Fantano that She's Leaving Home sounds like some drama school shit and the jeet song is cultural tourism. "We're all one, mannnnn". George already did the jeet thing better on Revolver anyway. The rest of the album is awesome though.
>>128851232>shit guitar tonesWhat's an example of shit? Their tones have always been good.
