Your rhetoric can influence others to take it out of that private setting and have a negative effect on society. However, I'd argue racist jokes are not inherently problematic because in some cases the joke is actually about the ignorance and lack of self-awareness of the comedian. I can also acknowledge sometimes those jokes exist to mock the absurdity of being racist and problematic behavior sometimes in a smart way and other times in a very surface level way. I will end this reply by urging you to reflect on your sexism and transphobia and ask yourself if you are giving it too much unnecessary energy that is not only harming those groups but yourself. Hate can be a blinder and take up too much room.
