The title track is sort of touching, especially since the singer died. The fanbase acts like the lyrics "I'm dancing with my demons" is high poetry? Halfway Right sounds like they wrote it for one of those Disney movies that would flop. Sharp Edges sounds like Train.Literally every time I see someone defending it, it's always "Well it's not like the biggest piece of shit ever recorded!", which fair enough, it's not. Not being the worst shit ever doesn't mean it's any GOOD, though.

Took me some time to get to them, but I finally did. These are the two I liked the most. I believe the first one was given to me in that thread and the other one I found out while browsing stuff. Bottom line, the music is not for me as a whole, it's too chaotic, too energetic at times. I did like the singer's voice, but the music not so much.

This is probably a dumb question, but when the lead singer, who's the face of the band, dies, why not make a new band name? That's what Joy Division/New Order did. Alice in Chains should've done this too because it's jarring to put them on shuffle and suddenly not hear Layne Staley's voice.

If more than half the band is new or the singer was the creative brain behind it, it would make sene to change the name. In LP's case 4 out of 6 of the original members are there and Mike, who is still there, has always been the engine of the band.If Mike had left as well then it would have made sense to change it. As it is, they got a new lead singer, but everything else stayed the same hence why From Zero sounds like LP and not different. My two cents.
