This album has more artistic merit than all vaporwave artists combined, despite simply being a record slowed down.
There's no pretense that this is a separate artist's work, that something "new" was created, it's simply what it is. Contrast that with genres based on plunderphonics, they legitimately see themselves as original artists.

Need more like OP. I honestly enjoy vaporwave, but it gets under my skin hearing the same handful of 80s/90s songs remixed ad nauseum.
