>>128863017you don't think white chalk is fantastic? it might be a bit too stark compared to some of her other stuff, but her voice is just so fantastically textured and subdued and subtle that it's unreal. nobody else could carry a tune like 'when under ether' as well as she does. it's the sort of song that's very easy to pull off, but she elevates it by managing to not be flat during it, not for a single second. stunned me when i first heard it.
