Why dont other genres have such a thing as ASOT yearly voted top 50. Yeah i probably know the arguments against and difficulties, and "any radioshow cant represent a whole genre" etc.. but such a thing is still very comfy. Thoughts on your favourite trance track from 2025 (or a track from the olden days..)?Whats your fav sub-genre?
PSYCHEDELIC TRANCE MOGSMOOOOOOOOOOOOGS
>>128862781Uplifting and Psy/Psychill are my 2 favourite. Not the modern Psy sound. When i say Psy i should really say Goa instead.

>>128869164thanks king
>>128868690Hamas tried to kill trance so it was off putting to promote new stuff in the last few years.
>>128869164Kek sounds like they're stuck in 2009, making the same songs over and over. The 90's had way more variety. No wonder everyone ITT would rather talk about Psy-shit.
idk wtf happened but 2009 had way better production than shit nowadays what the fuck its so weirdlisten to episode 437 year mix its insane how good it sounded back then
>>128871556Yeah, like I said, slightly more variety (although it sounds a lot more like electro pop than trance to me). Plus - without getting too technical about things -, it's as if trance producers nowadays just love to add a thin layer of noise on top of their lead synths so they sound like crap on most speakers.
