Pornography is more like a blunt force trauma kind of dark, but SOALW is very reflective in its crushing existential despair. Robert didn't have the life experience on Pornography to make SOALW, but on SOALW Robert's perhaps too burned out to express that kind of angst again, if only because he's too close to it now.
