That's about a quarter of my life spent trying to get people to pay attention to my music. I lie constantly, it's just a daily part of my life now. I pretend to be other people who like me, who think my music is worth talking about. Actually, damn near every post in these threads is just me talking to myself. What little creativity I ever had has been sacrificed on the altar of my internet humiliation. Hours every day tending threads which get mocked, with the "prize" being a couple new eyes here and there. They never stick around. They don't buy my vinyl. I am empty inside, there's nothing left, just this pile of threads of me talking to myself. Just remember that I'm middle aged now, I've been doing this the majority of my adult life.
