Vektroid is one of the most underrated electronic artists in general
>>
It's hard to pick an album but I think you can trace the evolution of hip hop from the 2000s to the 2010s sound through a lineage that looks something like Kanye > Drake > Chief Keef > Future > Young Thug > Lil Peep.
>>
>dude its like the CD is skipping LMAO

bitch I bought a cd walkman with a buffer for a reason, fuck that shit

definitely influential but some hip hop album was probably more widely influential like kendrick.

eccojams and farside virtual were far superior entries into this new vague microgenre of hypnagogic music at the time. it didnt have a clear, set sonic aesthetic nor intellectual aesthetic unlike this one that flanderised it. you might think its ridiculous for me to claim that as it was released very shortly after eccojams and farside, but microgenres lived fast and died fast back then. i'd say that New Life Deluxe's reecord was the last interesting thing that happened within "vaporwave" and macintosh plus and saint pepsi and shit ruined it all. i still find it utterly unreal how many millions of views vaporwave shit has considering how incredible small it was back in 2010 and 2011. i remember it distinctly and videos would often only have views in the triple or quadruple digits.

i would also like to add that this retarded name "vaporwave" has done irreparable damage to the culture where every RYMteen and zoomer in general is obsessed with hypercategorizing and pigeonholing everything into a box. like this image from back in the day. i remember how stupid i thought all these idiotic categories were. it reminds me of other stupid shit you see today like "Frutiger Aero" and "Gen X Soft Club" and other aesthetics wiki-isms. ive always thought vaporwave was a poor label of categorization and inherently limits the music. rather just describe things as plunderphonics, chopped n screwed, hypnagogic pop, hauntology, etc.

I don't know if it's the most influential album of the 2010.s but it's definitely the album with my dick the most up its asshole. I mean, it's really fucking deep and buried in there, there's no other album that even comes close in terms of my dick releasing thick wads of warm jelly far up its asshole..
In the 2010's, I mean.

true. i will record myself reading your post, slow it down, pitch it down and it will be a vaporwave masterpiece and will truly say so much about like... consumerism and stuff... like... mark fisher and shit namsayin?
>>
>>128892586
Kendrick didn't influence anyone lmao he's an industry plant being pushed by the Jews
>>
>>128892586
vaporwave is more influential on modern hiphop than kendrick on vaporwave
