Whatever happened to all the kids that were blasting Bones/Xavier Wulf/Suicideboys/Pouya/etc ten or so years ago? There used to be a huge cult following surrounding that movement at the time, and truth be told, it was pretty cool in high school. What are they up to now?
jobs n shit
Adulthood
I'm an adult now and don't listen to rap anymore. I stopped paying attention around 2018 when TheManInTheRadiator finally came out and sucked and Bladee released Icedancer. Bladee looks like a child predator now and his fanbase seems to be mostly faggots and third world women.
As far as music fandoms are concerned these guys were all relatively well adjusted and ''regular'' people
They became uncs. We've gone through like three generations of underground hip hop since that era (the sound hasn't meaningfully evolved, mind you) Suicideboys are still pretty big. Bones is still going.
>>128892507I genuinely can't tell you a single thing about the ''underground hip hop'' scene of the last five years. It all seems so inconsequential and stale. Is Zelooperz considered underground? He might be one of the only dudes from that realm that I listen to. I wanna cite Sauce Walka as well but that's more of a straight up street thing. If you got any interesting recommendations then go ahead.
>>128892560Zeloopers had a Danny Brown feature 13 years ago buddy get in the retirement home
>>128892581damn man...
>>128892212We all became adults and life happened to all of us. I just don't care about what they're doing now. But yeah... Xavier, Bones, Chris Travis, Black Kray, Yung Lean etc. I will never forget those days.
>>128892844Did it really mean anything at the end of the day?
