>>128894052Carter:C. Rosen, Piano Sonata. He gave a lecture on it where he emphasized the significance sympathetic resonances in the piano, and he plays it with that aspect in-front recognizable from the first few notes. There are parts of the second movement where there is only very emphasized sympathetic sounding, and they are very special and moving moments in my opinion. Faust/Queyras/Aimard, Epigrams. Very short and humorous pieces, last composition he completed before he died, and the last few notes of Epigram 12 being your goodbye to the public world, is singular and remarkable, as well as comforting (if you're into reassurances).I like everything I've heard by Carter, and even what I haven't heard yet (because I am the best ever of all time); but these were the first to pieces I got into, besides the first quartet. And since you said you like some Ives I have to recommend the DeGaetani/Kalish songs if you haven't listened to it it;—might be my favorite album.>>128893818I listened to Brand New Eyes a few days ago.>>128893825I loled when I generated it and it looked like that,It's cause my tagging is anti-social and I don't bother to upload all the album covers to lastfm.
I don't actually like ringo all that much, as it turns out, but in these two albums he and his team really do everything they could possibly do to make the album salvageable and I do appreciate that.
