as someone that doesn't normally listen to any of this kind of shit I really enjoyed both of their albums. imaginal disk has a really cool production style and the songs have great variety and instrumental passages as well

its probably LGBT shit and yet it was still one of the best made albums that year and was full of great songwriting, production, and melodies. As a rock guy I especially enjoyed the more guitar oriented songs like Thats My Floor but other faves were Vampires in the Corner (amazing vocal build), and Ballad of Matt and Mica (pure bright optimist sound), only like 2 songs I could do without on the whole record though but Side B I think is the stronger part, Love is Everywhere is a great 80s esque dance tune.
