Hot Mulligan is unironically saving the genre
>>

This is pretty true, yeah. Arms Length proof that they're influencing in very good ways

Thanks I Hate It is a good recent find for me. Also kind of more prog emo but Dispirited Spirits as well

>Dispirited Spirits
thanks for the rec, anon, i'll have to check this out. I remember as an oldfag when "prog emo" was a meme genre to describe The Brave Little Abacus

Does Ryland from Origami Angel hate his fans? I saw them in Fort Worth last year and he seemed like he was just going through the motions, and made mention he was upset people didn't really know the newer songs.

posting my favorite find from a more recent /emo/ general

I've seen them a few times and never gotten that vibe. Granted it was on opening slots and in very favorable locations but still
>>

I saw them first as openers alongside Heart Attack Man for Microwave..I left for Microwaves set I didn't know who they were and I thought the music was lame I was there for HAM and OA. The energy was alot better for OA in the opening show.

You seem to be the exception that, everyone /emo/ I've ever met has gushed about Much Love constantly
>>

It just wasn't really for me. Didn't like the psychadelic thing they were doing.

I just can not get myself fully on board with this band and I don't know why. They're very clearly the next big thing and they have some real good songs but there's just something I'm missing, I guess. People and youtubers and shit were calling that debut a masterpiece and I just did not get it entirely
