>>128931526>Perry Bamonte>, the long-time guitarist and keyboardist for The >Cure, has died at the age of 65. >Cause of Death: He passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025 (Christmas Day), after a short illness. >COVID-19 Status: While some fan discussions from 2022/2023 speculated that his presence in the lineup served as "COVID insurance" for the band to cover if other members fell ill, there is no official information linking his death to COVID-19.

>>128931230RIP
>>128931230>Post 80sDoes not matter for The CureF regardless
>Cure members are passing awayIt fucking starts. F, but goddamn it.
>>128933206Wild Mood Swings has some good songs on it but it is a mess of an album. Check out Want, This Is A Lie and Mint Car at the very least. Bloodflowers gets some flack for being a middling attempt to recapture Disintegration but honestly, I like this one a lot. Where The Birds Always Sing, Out Of This World, Maybe Someday and There Is No If are highlights but I genuinely recommend giving the album a go.The 00s stuff is what it is. Self-titled's like a weird greatest hits album with Ross Robinson production. If you can get past the mix, songs like Lost and The Promise are alright. 4:13 Dream is one of the albums of all time. Underneath the Stars is fine at least.Songs of a Lost World is actually pretty good...if you listen to the vinyl mix. For some reason that was handled by someone else and they didn't mix the thing into loudness oblivion like most of the other versions. Alone and Endsong were worth the comeback but like Bloodflowers, I recommend giving the whole thing a chance. Just pick your version carefully.
