It's Song Review Time (For a Sleepy Sunday)

Let's try to keep these at the ten minute mark or shorter, but otherwise post whatever the hell you want.

I'll let the first non-OP dude link the first track.

I loved Minor Threat but never really gave Fugazi a spin. So far, what I hear isn't half bad. The music is fierce and angsty without sounding wimpy. It's also conscious without being preachy:

the most distinctive things about this track are the guitars. I wish it was more musically complex. 6/10 would listen to again but is otherwise not outstanding.

This bitch is irritating. Her flow is decent, but the beat is ass and her lyrics are awful. I need to clean my ears:

Great tune from an underrated Fugazi album, 8/10
>>128946192
Okay, 6/10
>>128946224
Not sure if you're joking, 3/10

Wish I had a taste for EDM.

>>128946331
Pleasant sounding, but not sure how to rate it.

this track didn't need to be 7 minutes long. it outstays its welcome, but it's not a bad track at all. I rate it a solid 7/10, very emotional and beautiful but it ain't for me.
>>128946286
interesting track, I like how it progresses, but it spends too much time building up and by the time the beat really drops I'm already bored. a few times it seems like it's gonna drop but never does. no lyrics, no delivery, so even though it's textured it's still not musically diverse enough for me to care. 6/10 I'd listen to this while reading or studying like some sort of lo-fi type shit.
>>128946331
3/10 get out of here you joker, nobody is seriously listening to this outside of the time they spend watching bugs fucking bunny alright.
>>128946370
I like the driving beat and distorted guitars, 7/10 would listen again.

Pretty neat Trance track. The song has sections that actually lead the listener on a journey and no part overstays its welcome:

>>128946544
The keys gave this more of a traditional composition feeling, which i liked. The vocals are okay, but a little too much trying to sound evil for me. At least it wasn't cookie monster though, so it had more going for it.

Might as well dump songs:

nice song, just need to throw some bars over it, perfect track to spit over.
>>128946728
I like metal like this but I need shredding man.

>>128946714
Very soft and delicate. The vocalist is a little too whiny for me, but the composition itself isn't half bad.

>>128946834
That vocalist tries too hard to sound tough. Not too keen on the riffs either. I like that it tries to be more progressive towards the middle, but the stop/go chugs do nothing for me:

>>128946885
not a bad track, I like that it's got some licks intertwined between the verses, and it's interesting throughout, it's just missing a strong midpoint solo or maybe a more distinctive outro if you ask me.

well I like it more than taylor swift you know. here have something more upbeat

Very solid slice of NWOBHM-style Metal. Not a moment goes to waste.

As for The Chemical Brothers tune, it's solid. Not much of an EDM guy, so I can't feel it too much. Probably decent music to chill out to.

This was fairly interesting, the change ups are well done with quick transitions and overall the playing and tone are pretty nice 7/10

Nice noisy riffs that jam without overstaying their welcome, but the squeaky voice is irritating. I'd mix that shit out and make it an instrumental:

I'll just dump random songs and see what happens:

A bit derivative, but I really like the vocals. 5/10

Very nice, reminds me that I don't listen to blues even nearly as much as I'd like to.

Also very nice, reminds me of Focus. 7/10

Solid. 6/10

>Grim Fandago
Nice Flamenco tune. Haven't played the game, so I couldn't tell you how it fits into the story.

>Yanka
pvre Rvssian sovl.

>Siekiera
Know 'em and love 'em. The title track from that album is my personal favorite.

>39 Clocks
Nice bassline. As much as the song's minimalism is admirable, the song is too bare to hold my attention, and that screeching 2 minutes in is obnoxious. I know they wanted to create dissonance, but it doesn't fit with the rest of the song.

Painfully '90s. Not a bad track, but when compared to bigger bands from the era, they don't stand out.

>>128953974
Hmm, this is interesting. Curious these guys came and went because the song sounds like it would be featured on a major movie.
