what are some bell curve albums/bands? only midwits think The Clash is better
only close-minded people hate the clash. you might as well say "ska rhythms scare me because i can't dance".
>>128951565It doesn't take a genius to know that Sex Pistols were a shallow band. The real punk rock is listening to them anyway. God Save the Queen and Pretty Vacant are good songs. Korn is a big one. Never met a Korn fan that I liked.
>>128951605Is it appropriate as a grown man to dance like a little girl to music? You can't just enjoy the band?
>>128951633Only dickheads belittle other people for dancing.
>>128951605>white guys ripping off blacksI can easily turn that on you
>>128951627Bodies and Holidays In The Sun are insanely deep songs, listen to the album again
>>128951633Oh jesus fuckin christ we can't even dance now?
>>128951633your poor self esteem is preventing you understanding the appeal of letting the music effect you. all the greatest music inspires positive emotional response, if you are too big of a stick in the mud to have any emotional connection to music art isn't for you, perhaps math is more your speed.>>128951648the beauty of art is the beauty of interpretation, it is foolish to dismiss art because it is "plagiarized" when the individuals inherent creativity (that is a part of the human SOUL, that god has given us: the gift of our own creation) will shine through anything "stolen".
sex pistols are probably realistically better in terms of pure consistency, but the clash are still a worthy band
>>128951694>the beauty of art is the beauty of interpretation, it is foolish to dismiss art because it is "plagiarized" when the individuals inherent creativity (that is a part of the human SOUL, that god has given us: the gift of our own creation) will shine through anything "stolen".oh I don't agree that they "ripped off" black music, i mean the guitar and trombone or whatever werent invented by them, Im saying calling me racist for not liking The Clash more is stupid and easily parryable
>>128951657Bodies kicks ass. I learned the bassline for it.
>>128951712>sex pistols are probably realistically better in terms of pure consistencyLast time I checked they have literally one album so they didn't really have the chance to be consistent, did they?
>>128951762great rock n roll swindle counts, and that one is fun. einmal war belson is highly underrated
>>128951781That potato quality live record?
>>128951648>ripping off blacksthat blacks ripped off white instruments to make?
>>128951801The guy I responded to said that I was racist for not liking the Clash and already made your point in response>>128951745
>>128951565The Clash is actually listenable
>>128951825You ain't a racist, you just don't have tolerance for cheesy british saturday morning cartoon reggae
>>128951871lel, I like the Clash well enough just it doesnt compare to what the Sex Pistols did
Radiohead has become the Toyota of music. Every other person fucking drives one. And yeah, it's good, but you're doing the same thing as the next guy. It's just too big. Maybe I'm just a hipster but I wanna be able to recommend stuff to people that they haven't heard before and EVERYONE knows Radiohead or maybe their spouse or their kid likes it. They're good but they're garden variety.
>>128951960they are not good
>>128951792>muh recording quality Sounds like a skill issue
>>128951712Combat Rock is the superior Clash albumHoweveritistho, nothing touches the PR and trainwreck that was Bollocks, nothing even comes close to the sheer impact. A case for bongs knowing how to crank the volumeLondon Calling is only interesting for it's demos and b sides, the songs as sketches are far more interesting than the final album, which is so tight, that the artwork is a parody of the attitude they were intent on making their own. Combat is the Clash mask off record, stretching out and owning their lane album. Joe's throwing up the eye gesture, and from what everyone knows Joe had powerful friends. You can go "Straight To Hell" BoySex Pistols > the real argument is The Clash vs Bad Brains. The latter utterly mogs imo, and fluidly made reggae dub fused with hardcore, which is quite punk, even to the point of doing crossover, their approach was organic whereas The Clash had a trial and error petri dish sterile feel to the band's progress
>>128951565I've finally, after several decades, decided New York is my favorite song on that
>>128951605there's no joy to be had listening to the Clash, they are good music to make molotov cocktails to that's about it
