The clash meat riders be like: It is like punk but if they played reggae
now that i think about it that's also Public Image LTD and The Police
>>128978304Nobody meat rides those bands as hard as they do the clash, specifically london calling. What if punk band played four chords instead of three and threw in a bit of reggae in the mix? Woah, dude, like this is blowing my mind
>>128978288Don’t care. Guns of Brixton and Lost in the Supermarket are fantastic songs.
>>128978288>>128979426>waaaaaaaah I'm a timid white incel intimidated by black men and black music
It's my favorite album and I don't give a shit what you think
>>128979426not true and you know that. the amount of geezers i have met who have screamed their adoration for keith and jah wobble is astounding. its just americans who don't love PiL.
>>128979586Surely you explored the Vanilla tapes, it's better on all fronts, way more satisfying than the actual LPI could flip this for Bad Brains Rock For Light. Sometimes it's the demos, it's the tapes, being the better overall, this became a thing in the 10's. Sometimes LPs are left to die where what made them breathes
The Clash made a lot more sense once I read about Joe Strummer's childhood. His parents were British diplomats and he spent a lot of time in rich boarding schools. They made good music but they were LARP. And to be fair, a lot of punk bands are LARP - so many trust fund crust punks out there, so it's not like it matters anyway. But a lot of their music seems weird because it's basically just people trying on clothes to see what they look like.

I love The Clash
More like The Cringe
>>128978288>the Clash>PunkTry again
>>128979546>wahhh if you don’t like a genre that happened to be made by black people it’s because you… le hate me :(((

Look at these fake ass homos trying as hard as they can to pretend they’re not posh art school graduates with rich, politically connected fathers. They took the most generic populist stance imaginable but acted like they were subversive and revolutionary. And idiots bought it because of the street urchin image they put on was in vogue at the time. Here’s a really hard question to answer: Who is more overrated, the Clash or Radiohead?
