I spent this entire year listening to music way louder than normal on headphones under the impression that it would let me hear things in the mix I otherwise wouldn't have. It took me until two hours ago to realize that I was doing the exact opposite of what I should be which is just dropping the volume like 5-10dB below normal. I feel like the biggest giga retard right now, it's a miracle I didn't give myself tinnitus.
