1980 + 46th year. Why did Guitar culture die? Why did Guitar music got worse with time? Best albums featuring Guitar are all before 80s. 90s and 2000s are pretty much garbage.

The answer is in your post.
It started in the 80s because it was all about Disco, which featured the DJ.
Everyone wanted to be the DJ, and that trajectory never ended so here's we are.
People would rather be "producers" than actual musicians.

the guitar is solved. its peak has been achieved. its limitation is the human hand.
be thankful of what you have

Tell me about it. The only thing going for Guitar was its portability but with modern keyboards even that is not a problem. You feel immensely gimped going from the Piano to Guitar. I know Guitarist try to make their right hand useful by playing fingerstyle but still it's so limited holy fuck. Seriously going from Piano to Guitar is such a downgrade.
