What is the psychology of the waifufag?
>>
Total isolation, neglect, abuse, mental disorders, loneliness, mistaking lust for love
>>
Although they may seem quiet or unassuming, people with the INFP personality type (Mediators) have vibrant, passionate inner lives. Creative and imaginative, they happily lose themselves in daydreams, inventing all sorts of stories and conversations in their mind. INFPs are known for their sensitivity – these personalities can have profound emotional responses to music, art, nature, and the people around them. They are known to be extremely sentimental and nostalgic, often holding onto special keepsakes and memorabilia that brighten their days and fill their heart with joy.

Having interacted with people with waifus/husbandos, they are usually covert/vulnerable narcissists who wouldn't stand humans and their imperfections. No matter how well written a character is or how much you know about a celebrity, it's a tiny fraction of the depth of knowledge brought from actually knowing and dealing with a person every day. Most of the time, they're filling in the blanks, making assumptions about their waifu/husbando, and by doing so projecting themselves onto them. They're effectively in a relationship with themselves.
I was dumped several months ago, and I've been pretty isolated. I'm also quite mentally ill, but at no point did something like this appeal to me. It takes a special type of person to do this, it's not just loneliness.

this. they get to make up their own version of the person who just so happens to be their perfect partner. then they even convince themselves of it.

Retardation and thinking that platonic love = reality, delusions of grandeur and other things.
They think of celebs as flawless deities. And they are relentless with their obsession.

What happen anon? Also didnt you have these kinda delusions when you were younger at least? In your teens it's kinda common.

Narcissist ex mindfucked me for months and threw me away once she either got bored of me or couldn't maintain her countless lies anymore, probably both.
>Also didnt you have these kinda delusions when you were younger at least?
I tried, but I couldn't immerse myself in it at all. I did fall for a few girls with avoidant attachment which at some points was pretty much the same thing, but they were people I actually talked to.
I don't mean to judge, if someone exhibits this behavior as a teen they might turn out fine, but they probably have issues they'll need to work on in their late teens/early 20s.
