Can someone help identify what kind of synth or electronics make the sound at 1:05?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoAdQUwIFok&t=1m5s

It sounds a lot like the one from The Remedy intro.

If you want to figure out gear and equipment musicians use ask ChatGPT or Grok. Also there is websites dedicated to musicians and their instruments they try to log in every instrument they been seen with.
Anyway After has good songs. Really Fruitger Aero. Even their website is Fruitger Aero / y2k.

Lol thats like the same stock sample they used. As for the sound itself, id do it with a resonating filter (ie minimoog) turned to oscillation and linked to the keyboard voltage control, sort of lingering/long decay, and most importantly, a bit of portamento so the pitch slides instead of sharply change. Thats the recipe. Will work with plugins no problem.

This is what ChatGPT comes up with:
>This suggests their synth sound comes from a mix of:

>Software synthesizers (VSTs / DAW plugins)

>Possibly vintage hardware or samples inspired by hardware (like the Wavestation mentioned)

>Production & processing through laptop/sequencer rather than a live analog rig

>How are these songs made? Are you using any period correct drum machines or synths?

>Epstein: We write together and then bring whatever we have to one of our producers. Sometimes it’s a fully written song on acoustic guitar or a drum loop with a string part. I’m hyper-specific about drum sounds but I’m not a gear head. It’ll be like an old video game sample pack or one of our producers and me just honing the sound ‘til it’s right. Actually I think we’ve used some old Korg synths like the Wavestation a couple times.

No but if you ask it can dig information about what instruments they might have used to make their music.
Epstein (thats the name of the producer) he says:
>Actually I think we’ve used some old Korg synths like the Wavestation a couple times.

Thats the closest hint you are getting. Otherwise try looking at their concerts and see if you see any synths there.
