But since then they've become a parody of themselves, literally goofy costume Satanism made for merchandise, another Hot Topic band like Cradle of Filth. Other simply Satanic bands like Archgoat may be good, but they never became deep or experimental, and are creatively stagnant. Mizmor is much more interesting as their music is about coping with meaninglessness and a loss of faith. Enslaved focused on Asatru, and extended that to social issues. Psychonaut 4 explored depression and addiction. Rotting Christ started out Satanic, but evolved into Hellenic mythology.Satan becomes boring pretty quickly, but I guess he's good for selling t-shirts.
