Dear Prudence blew my cock off, i regard it as one of the finest songs ever made

I don't know if I should put it on the vintage pop playlist or the 60s-70s prog/art/psych rock playlist

Disjointed masterpiece. Glass Onion is my favorite Beatles track. The seethe over the Beatles on the board is so pathetic. There’s daily Kpop and Olivia Rodrigo threads. Stop taking yourself or this board so seriously.

ob la di ob la da is not a good song

When I was a lad say 15 years ago, I had the first cassette tape of the white album. Once me and some friends played the tape as we hiked the local hills at night, the ganja was burning. The friends were vibing. A good time was had by all.

It was my favorite Beatles album for a long time. Now Revolver and Rubber Soul are my favorites. Happiness is a Warm Gun is one of their very best songs, and the best on this album by a mile. There’s plenty of garbage on there too. Some of it is good, fun garbage (Wild Honey Pie, Bungalow Bill, Country Ringo, Me and my Monkey, Revolution 9), but some of it is not (O Bla Di, Piggies, Honey Pie, Revolution 1, Good Night)
>>
Filler/shit songs:
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da
Wild Honey Pie
The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill
Piggies
Rocky Raccoon
Don't Pass Me By
Why Don't We Do It in the Road?
Birthday
Good Night

Bonus granny shit:
Martha My Dear
Honey Pie

>your experience with the White Album
I don't have any, because most of my experience with the Beatles has been mediocre.
>Beatles for Sale
I actually like this one the most. No studio trickery or overdubs; it actually sounds like a four piece playing pop/rock songs and it's all catchy. You actually get to hear how well they could play at the time, which is average at best but good enough because the songs are good.
>Rubber Soul
It's alright. I'm guessing this is where they really started doing so much with the studio which diminishes the effect of it just supposedly being four guys writing and playing it all. Admittedly, the compositions here are way better and more original than Beatles for Sale, but it's a bit lost on me.
>Revolver
The one my parents had and used to play a lot. Actually slightly nostalgic for this one, but listening to it again it's got the same issues as Rubber Soul for me.

Piggies is an unequivocal masterpiece, you peasant.

Unpopular opinion (apparently this is an unpopular opinion even among Beatles fans): The White Album has no filler songs. Every single song adds to the album listening experience, and none of them should have been taken off.

Cant remember the first time I heard the beatles, but when I was like 11 or so my mom pulled out her old best of the beatles record when I was a kid and I heard a bunch of the white album songs that I love now. Then when I was 19 or 20 my buddy put his dad's copy of the white album on while we were on a trip just getting out of bed, I listened to the whole thing and thought it was a masterpiece at the time. Now I think its excellent, but far from perfect

Which one is better

or

?

Definitely julia lol blackbird is so boring

people who hate wild honey pie are gay

It's a mystical assassin's creed lore ordered album that was the soft subversive center tied to events surrounding at the time. This alone

My EXP with it has been, how shall I put it?

Most pleasing
>>
>>129048651
It's more overrated than even Sgt Pepper. It's an incoherent mess from start to finish.
>>
>>129056608
You can call it incoherent but not messy
>>
I flick my beans to it.

Birthday is a misunderstood masterpiece, that distorted piano in the last half is very nice

try listening to Dont Pass Me By with the windows open on a spring day while driving through a rural town and tell me its shit then
>>
>>129048651
Rocky Raccoon is the best song on the album.
>>
>>129048651
all their albums have filler btw
