A few months ago, while looking through the last.fm profiles of strangers, I came across an album which was a collection of pop demos that must've been recorded on a 4-track. A young woman variously played piano, guitar and sang. The album or compilation was released posthumously as she had died of cancer or some other disease, before she could reach maturity.

Interspersed between the songs were spoken testaments from people who had known her. I remember one of them was from a former classmate of hers who made a habit of visiting her after school as she had become bedbound. He reminisced over their conversations about love, youth, growing up, etc. and how she'd play him the new songs she'd been writing.

I'm pretty sure all the songs had been recorded at her house, by the sea. IIRC it was released sometime between '86-'92 and the album cover was blue and had her face on it superimposed over a shoreline.

Please, if you have an idea as to what this might be, reply to the thread, because I've forgotten and have no way of finding it.

Pic unrelated.

I forgot to mention that the album is all in Japanese.

How do you forget something this kino anon? Methinks your post is fake.

I probably forgot because the title’s in Japanese and I never bothered to bookmark it. It’s not even lost media, I just can’t find the upload on YouTube.

Guess I’ll go back to searching through releases for Enka by year on RYM.

Can you read/speak Japanese? Where did you get all those details like the classmate visiting her after school, were they in the video description? Comments?

lol fuck off gen Alpha schizo, Panchiko was not lo-fi or AI generated, I know you were born in the 2010s because AI was not a thing in 2016 when it was found, but you were probably too young to remember the pre-AI world.
>>
>>129052885
I cursed the fact it was Japanese, knowing I would have a hard time convincing others of its veracity.

I'm not a chud or into conspiracies beyond their storytelling potential. Glad you found it.
>>129052966
Rude.
>>129052896
Oh wtf I have this record and enjoy it. Had no idea about the story
>>
>>129052917
Oh, calm down. I also immediately thought it was fake when OK said it was Japanese. Like >>129050891 said, Pachinko has poisoned the well. Anything supposedly Japanese is automatically a non-Japanese hoax until proven otherwise. I used to give my songs Japanese titles back in the 00s because it wasn't fake and gay to do so yet.

>Pachinko has poisoned the well
No it didn't, you fucking faggots were also calling TMMS and the Ulterior Motives songs "hoaxes" even after the bands were found. You guys call the Akiba Tape a "western hoax". You still call Panchiko fake even after more copies of the original CD pressing have been found. Fuck you and your schizophrenia.
