Hey, /mu/.There are lots of gay singer/songwriters, but the majority of them are too chickenshit to sing explicitly about men. Even guys who are out (Elton John, Ricky Martin, etc.) always sing live songs to some gender-neutral person, heavily using “you” and other neutral words.I just recently found Omar Apollo’s songs, and it is a relief to hear him explicitly mention men and even using gay sex terms in his songs. Are there other singer/songwriters like this? To be clear, I am not looking for gay singers who sing love songs. I know they exist in heaps. I’m looking for guys who sing about guys and make it explicit that the song is about a guy.
