drums might sound awful but gil norton doesn't get enough credit for pushing the pixies into what they are: a pop band. gigantic fucking sucks under albini's mix, him putting the harmonies in separate channels is just the start. norton also tried to save river euphrates to no avail, but albini obviously just saw pixies as another gig instead of trying to help them
