Other music that sounds like Lindsay Buckingham's tracks from tusk? eg:
>That's Enough for Me
>The Ledge
>Not That Funny
>I Know I'm not Wrong
>What Makes You Think You're the One
>Tusk

Does such a thing exist?

The closest I've found is perhaps Violent Femmes or early (77/Food and Buildings) Talking Heads. But neither has the rockabilly thing going or the verve

I don't know
those songs are cracked
ive been obsessed with the incredibly bizarre bass/guitar on those tracks where it sounds like they are playing rubber bands through fuzz pedals

Not that I've found. What makes those tracks fascinating to me is that they're super catchy pop songs recorded using lo-fi bedroom production techniques - banging on shoeboxes for drums, singing in bathrooms for vocal reverb etc. etc.

You can find loads of super catchy pop songs out there but they rarely (if ever) have these kind of sounds/this kind of production. And you can find this plenty of stuff with this kind of production, but 99% guaranteed the songs will be utter shit.

have you heard of this super obscure little album called "in the airplane over the sea"?

Yeah and they might be interesting too if all their songs weren't undifferentiated energyless mushes of twee

Let me tell you kiddo I was listening to Attack Attack way back when you were still a glint in the milkman's eye.
