Do you listen to music on your phone?
>>
>>129072901
primarily. I have too many distractions on PC so I use my phone as an MP3 player for active listening
>>
>>129072901

yes I used wired headphones too because Bluetooth earbuds keep falling out of my ears and going down the storm drains.

my sony xperia 1 v still has one!
>>
I sometimes use it when I travel by train, but thats usually only once a month or so, and the even rarer occasions when I fly. But those trips are for work so I always have my laptop with me too and I'm more in the habit of using that for music/tv/films when travelling.
I used to use it as the source of music in the car but then I got the touchscreen on the stereo fixed so now thats got a 64GB USB stick full of music plugged into it.
I use musicolet as my player on Android, its really good.

Samsung A series has headphone jacks and microSD card slots so you can put all your music on a Sdcard and save on data costs.

yes when I travel to work.
bluetooth earphones suck balls but its a necessary evil
>>
>>129073364

>compressed lossy low-rate trash
you're clearly deaf
>>
>>129074192
This only happens with a low budget phone
>>
>>129072901
Yes. No streaming though.
>>
>>129074163
Latency is bad on Bluetooth, so Bluetooth is fine for consuming but not for producing.
Also charging them and having them die on you or discovering they're dead when you take them out of the case is fucking annoying.
Additionally, they tend to be more expensive but with worse sound quality and more troubleshooting. Not to mention the environmental impact.
The amount of downsides far outweigh the one upside of look ma no cable.
Give me back my fucking headphone jack.

>>
>>129072901
Yeah I have 42 days worth of music on my PC stored locally, which I accumulated since about 2003 via ripping CDs and torrenting, etc. It's also loaded onto my iPhone for listening with earbuds or bluetooth streaming, etc.
>>
yeah at work or in the car
at home its hifi
>>
No

>her phone doesn't have a physical jack
You willingly took this by not buying a phone with one.

based fellow musicolet chad. Only decent player with a good file structure browser in the app.

Split about 50/50 between my phone and laptop.
I'll use my laptop for when I want to listen to music in the background while I surf or have to do work.
Phone is good for when I workout or while I try to look for new artists with RYM or Youtube pulled up in the background.
I do end up doing most of my serious listening on my phone though because it's easier just to lay down next to me while I close my eyes and listen to it.

it won't replace it, but look for getting an actually USB C cable to (your needed output) cable for your gear. It's so much better than having to worry about a dongle.

Just when work is slow. I'm drowning in speakers at home, and music on a busy day at work is distracting.
>>
>>129072901
Guys I listen to music on my iPhone with AirPods. How can I take my listening experience to the next level without breaking the bank? I was thinking of getting an actual mp3 player but I'm also a retard who just loves using lastfm. Is it over for me?
>>
im listening to phone music on a walmart sound bar RIGHT NOW
>>
I use a CD player at home (or record player) and a $30 burner flip phone when outside with less than a GB of storage so I only can choose from like 5 albums
>>
>>129072901
Yes, my setup is CD rips -> Navidrome -> Symfonium. I've come along way since the days of holding my flip phone up to the computer speaker.
>>129084021
Not sure how an mp3 player would enhance things. You'd probably be better served by a DAC of some sort so you aren't restricted to one device. Do you have other headphones? You can get a good pair of wired studios for less than $100, which is going to give the biggest jump in quality.
