just a catchy pop tune that appealed to the Spanish speaking world as well as the Anglosphere so had a bigger natural market. the two old fellers were a Spanish regional act for years and had this song then some record exec heard it and gave it to a couple of different producers to do remixes. one rewrote the lyrics a bit to make them more spicy and came up with a danceable song and that was it. the dark haired girl in the silvery suit in the video was the hottest.
