>>129156363Do they qualify for /trad/? I cant recall if they've made it on to a chart.
>>129156281candlemass - Tales of Creation
>>129156278Best Days of My Life is how I got to know them, and then In Control is the only record of them I know. But you are right, I am going to check the rest of their discography.
>>129156363>Iced Earth's debutWasn't that in 1993?
>>129156432>Do they qualify for /trad/? Yeah>I cant recall if they've made it on to a chart.Show No Mercy made 1983 and Hell Awaits COULD have made 1985 but it didn't (can't remember why tbdesu), and I nominated South of Heaven for 1988's. For the '86 chart I vetoed RIB though, on the grounds that it like Master of Puppets was a waste of a slot>>129156467Nope, 1990
>>129156430sounds so much like early pentagram
>>129156490There's an even heavier song from that same album, crushing shithttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIiZ_gwOPCE
>>129156417Buried Alive is crazy heavy toohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxwzGgTCFlU
>>129156300Dark Angel - Leave Scars should have two votes.>>129154514>>129154578

>>129156575Good catch. Fixed it>>129156586Counted
Amazing first half, decent second half. Except for Spirits in the Wind, that song fucking smokeshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcnjKbCkGXwhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3CI7IcIDd4https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQ7Q7rE3q_Yhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQVolZJyt5I
Great euro power metal, seconding this one for sure. And it's not long at all, either, clocking in just shy of 33 minutes.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgfMRn9jyds
I'll admit I have been solely responsible for getting certain albums on these charts. I just waited a few days between my votes.
>>129157126
>>129157126I have refrained from doing that, what's the point? You already know about those albums, why does it matter if they are on the chart or not?
BLASTING
>>129157224
>>129157126there's literally nothing stopping you from making your own charts with whatever albums you want on it
>>129157684More people should do that desu
>>129157684Yeah, and I’ll put them in the pastebin alongside the year charts too
>>129157684I do that. Here's mine for 1989.
>>129157224That's a Spinal Tap tier album cover.

>>129158150BASED
>>129157126Not cool man, but you came forward with it which shows you care.
>>129156281>>129156300Yeah Headless children definitely deserves to be there. My biggest complaint about the album is that the bass on a some songs is a little weak. It's hard to hear the bass on their cover of "The Real Me" compared to the original. One minor complaint is that the best riff on thunderhead only gets used briefly during the transition after the intro. Wasp has a tendency to use great riffs/hooks at the start of their song in the intro then completely forget about them. Neutron Bomber is probably the ones of the weakest/simplest songs on the album, with a verse riff that is largely just chugging a root note. And that song is still great.
>>129157684>>129157831Whoever was listening to all those asian (mostly japanese) metal albums should make a chart.
>>129158687Someone posted this in /metal/ recently.
>>129157843I never listened to Axel Rudi Pell before two months ago. I've read that name multiple times over the years but I think I somehow mixed him up with Uli Jon Roth.
>>129159250Same. Where are you from?
What are we thinking of Heart and the Wilson sisters?
>>129159250I don't even know half their stuff since they put out a lot of albums, but everything I heard was really solid.
>>129159805Alone is an all time banger, but I only know a few of their hits.
>>129157843>Headless CrossGIGA BASED
>>129158687Need to listen to some ‘90s-00s stuff and a few more 80s albums before I feel I can make a proper one desu>>129159805Dreamboat Annie (title track) is one of my favorite songs, but outside of that tune they’re just okay imo

I'm getting really sick and tired of /mu/'s anti-Ozzy rhetoric, anyone else?
>>129161387>anti-Ozzy rhetoricLike what?
>>129160752>Still of the NightThe best Whitesnake song, just fukken rawks dude. Also partial to this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAYc9TUdh2A
>>129161387It's because he's dead nowTrue cowards cannot face a man while they liveThey wait until an individuals presence no longer influences this reality to strike at themWorms in the mud they are for they cannot escape the inevitable themselves and that scares them to their very coreBasically they are copium huffers trying to pretend that they were ever cool in the first place by hating on a deadman of all things, truly pathetic

>>129161734I really like that albumIts what all hair metal should be. Heavy and fun with killer vocals
>>129162110Kind of falls off for me with the final few songs but the hits fucking hit. >I really like that albumJohn Sykes' guitarwork is what makes that album for me. His solo on Still of the Night is somethin' else.
https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=Pn3s0EsARSMWhat sort of subgenre does this fall under?
>>129162340Heavy metal with some weird prog and psych shit
>>129162084Vocals are sort of weak but Akira's guitarwork is goddamned brilliant. Glad I checked this one out again.https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_kjKwIeFjfSEnagZpMGPg9FZ7P91xFv_bk
>>129159805Aside from Barracuda, what songs of them are metal?
>>129156591Gutter Ballet was released in 1990
>>129164109Huh, yeah you're right, released in late January. I'll remove it from the chart but it'll be automatically included on the 1990 one
Working on the updated pastebin with other charts, how's this for the format?
V2, did a few tweaks
Melodic metal that's sort of like if '70s Rainbow got an update for the '80s. While I loved pretty much everything about this record, for me the real highlight was Kazue's singing. Her vocals have a power behind them that I just do not hear in Japanese metal most of the time, even among her contemporaries. Nominating.https://files.catbox.moe/q26mjo.zip
