If he weren't assassinated, what kind of music would he be making today?
phonk
>>129245227probably a few albums like every five years that get worse and worse. the wikipedia pages would probably be depressing. can you imagine a nirvana album in 2026? kurt already was running out of steam by in utero
>>129245227nickelback
>>129245227Country music crying about Drumpf being bad and how great Somalians are
>>129245227If Kurt actually somehow managed to live past 94’, he would’ve atleast made one acoustic kind of album, probably power pop Elliot smith kinda stuff. And then i like to think he would’ve taken a 20 year Kevin shields like hiatus where he may drop a noise rock EP here or there
rap album

>>129245227He wouldn't make any music. He would just listen, because thats what noone did.
>>129245227He would be retired and wouldn't have social media
>>129245227based Courtney did nothing wrong.
>>129245227>assassinatedyou mean killed, or "murdered" if that's what you believe.a pop star can't be assassinated.using it with Charlie Kirk only (barely) works because he was a political figure.normally you'd only use "assassinated" with important politicians or political or social leader, or an artist or poet killed in a political context.
>>129249246he was in CIA MKUltra to destroy youth morals, new fag.
He would retire in Canada or Ireland somewhere and make sculptures and paintings then one day they'll still find him dead in the studioGuy did not want to grow old, he was already concerned about balding in his diary. He came, he saw, he conquered, he left at the top of his game.
>>129250801>He would retire in Canada or Ireland somewhere and make sculptures and paintings then one day they'll still find him dead in the studiomost plausible answer so far
>>129245227Pfobably the typical career path of similar rock musicians where they slow down and get more poppy with age as they lose their initial youthful angst and anger. Maybe some experimenting and genre shifting. Look at like Trent Reznor or Iggy Pop and stuff like that. And we all know he'd be vocal about Trump
>>129250920>slow down and get more poppy with age as they lose their initial youthful angst and anger. Maybe some experimenting and genre shifting. Look at like Trent Reznor or Iggy Popthis too is plausible. kurdt said he wanted to take things in a more poppy direction

>>129249145god dammit
>>129251258Imagine like a 2000's/2010's version of Iggy Pop's Blah-Blah-Blah album, it would probably be pretty cool
He most likely wasn't killed.>>129245269And that would be perfect.
>>129251658He was killed by himself
One solo country pop album before taking a music hiatus to focus on his painting career, then once he's bored with that he'll turn to acting and collaborate with David Lynch, even star in Lost Highway. Then, like Clint Eastwood, he'll have a sudden interest in directing and think he can do a better job at it than most people, and turns out he's right and ends up making some decent kino. Then later he'll collaborate with Hideo Kojima and make games about men getting pregnant. His most recent endeavor would be his "The Violent Left" podcast where he interviews political activists while shitting on Israel.>t. Time traveler
>>129251658He was killed by the kids who bullied him at school.
He would be making washed up ghey happy shit. Or go full tilt on the political crap.Like it or not but most great art comes from a place of sadness and tragedy. And most people are more drawn towards sadness and tragedy than they would like to admit. Without the shade the light would not be as bright and blissfull once it hits. Music is an emotion first and foremost.
>>129251665He couldn't trust anyone else to kill his self
If he cleaned up his act a little bit I could see some more good music at least into the 2000s. Probably getting more indie and less heavy as time goes on, unless he rode the post hardcore train. If he wasn't dead by 2010 his creativity sure would be
If he lived, the trickle-down butterfly effect would be absolutely insane. I'm talking shit like Al Gore actually winning the 2000 election and 9/11 having never happened.
>>129245227big star type acoustic power pop weaker than the rest of his discog similar to let it be, with a rym score of 3.69
>>129245227He expressed his idea and desires of moving away from grunge and electric guitars to more acoustic, singer-songwriter stuff. If he had survived, i guess he would do music similar to what Mark Lanegan was doing, or write songs similar to the style of Thom Yorke (exit Music for a film, how to disappear completely - that kind of vibe) - I could imagine him moving away from guitar by this point alltogether. When it comes to Nirvana, I think the most we would get out of it would be eventually 1 more album and then the definite split. Dave Grohl would be most likely kicked out of the band, and the 4th album would be probably something underwhelming for fans and critics. After the Nirvana breakup I could see Kurt collaborating and experimenting with a whole bunch of different musicians and styles and sounds, but I think he would have moved into the Radiohead direction. Especially after OK Computer and Kid A.
>>129252499agreed, he's one of those "with the death of this character your timeline has shifted" kinda guys. we're seeing it happen now with the chaos that's gone on in America since David Lynch and David Bowie both died
A concept album about Trump as the antiChrist that's even better than his MeToo song cycle.
he winds up divorcing courtney. falls out of favor with the media which redpills him. He links up with rival Billy Corgan and they flip the alternative rock narrative. it's all about money, bitches, and drugs. rock continues to dominate
>>129245227He would definately have been a vaxxtard like rage and he would be completely mind broken by drumpf. He had nowhere new to go with his music anyway so it's a good thing he died.
>>129245227Probably a duet album with the down syndrome girl that he raped
>>129251696Based
>>129245227kurt would be busted for possessing four thousand images of baby pornography
>>129256155is it true kurt is a pedo, people say he is
>>129245227He'd be opening for the 74th U2 reunion tour playing a solo cover of "Happiness Is A Warm Gun" before Bonno comes out on stage with a benelli and turns his head into a canoe before announcing the next iPod (altered timeline you see, iPhones never took off (Courtney Love killed Steve Jobs instead of Kurt))
>>129256184i mean, nirvana made a naked baby one of their album covers for fucks sake
>>129245227>assassinatedHe killed himself. You people need to let it go.
>>129245227he would troon out and make trans edm.
>>129245227He was like lennon; the voice of a generation. He had incredible influence, which is why they had to let him go.Hypothetically though? He'd quit music entirely and become a reclusive painter/mixed media artist.
>>129245227I genuinely believe he would've gotten sick of grunge and moved on to extremely experimental music that would've alienated his entire fan base. It would still be based on acoustic instruments, I don't think it would be a Kid A situation, but it would've been weird as shit. I also think it would've been a lot softer and calmer than his earlier work.
>>129257014>grungeat least 3 different genres
>>129256236I didn't kill myself, you need to let it go.

>>129256155>>129256184He was obsessed with fetuses because he had a mpreg fetish (based)
>>129252663I also think he would have been bored of the guitar rock stuff after a while, though electronic Kurt-style music is hard to imagine. I could see him experimenting in electronic music but not sticking with it. He'd probably go back to acoustic singer/songwriter stuff before disappearing from the public eye for a few years like Jeff Mangum. Then oh shit, I'm out of money, let's do a Nirvana reunion tour.
>>129251258imagining Kurt pulling a Gorillaz after Nirvana breaks up and making experimental pop music with whatever famous collaborator comes to his studio. i could see him integrating hip hop influence too honestly
>>129257014i could see him pulling a "Metal Machone Music" or making some other extremely nasty noisy punk as a joke on his record execs
>>129245227He still would've gotten together with Matt Sharpe and released Blue Album and Pinkerton. Beverly hills still would've been a terrible song.
>>129251696He also would've saved you guys from those terrible JJ Abrams Star wars movies. You guys have no idea how bad your timeline truly is.
>>129245227he would just kill himself again but in 2020+this dude just hated everything and was not having a good time
He'd be making sludge with King Buzzo, maybe a super group with Greg Sage
He'd have trooned out by 2017 at the latest

>>129245227yes, as a drag performer named Katrina Cabana
>>129274054For a moment that looked like a Sieg Heil ngl.Always suspected he was secretly based
I know the popular idea's that Kurt Cobain would troon out and be a major lefty annoying asshole, but I actually think that he has a contrarian element to him and if he got old and cranky he might even go MAGA just to piss people off like kanye.
>>129274649Nah, at worst he would just be another Morrissey (aka closet homo)
Kurt was a fag. It's obvious he was a budding troon.
>>129274649I very much doubt he would have stayed in the USA even during Dubya times. He would have relocated to Canada in a cabin, perfect place to shoot dope and build some shocking clay figurines
Nirvana breaks up shortly after In Utero, Kurt releases several solo albums throughout the 90s to varying reception, joins a Supergroup of other has-been 90s rock stars, they get one or two charting hits in the early 2000s before ending the project, Kurt retires to Beverly Hills, is briefly a B-list actor for random low-budget movies and indie films, and today he mostly just hangs around the podcast circuit and makes cringe takes on Twitter. That's it, that's the most likely scenario for him. Whoever thinks he'd live by his pretentious persona forever is either underage or delusional. Everyone grows up, the Kurt that killed himself at 27 wouldn't be the same person as the Kurt in his 30s and 40s. Look at Dave Grohl for example, he ended up moving to LA, making complete buttrock and is now known as a friendly family man. >>129274974Easily the worst take ITT. You should kill yourself

Kurt would have fell with the twin Towers. If it wasn't 1994, it was 2001.
