>>129266809i honestly though Eat Static - Implant was post-grunge it looks a lot like all those covers, maybe just a 90s thing. i didn't listen to Wooden Hand in full yet but did listen to Wooden Veil in full for the first time in a while i forgot how enchanting it is rather than just like, ambient/spooky

>>129267068ye Wood Veil is so good, such a unique album. Ive never found anything g quite like it, except that Excepter album on my colag isnt a million miles away in some respects. bleepier for sure but it kind of reminds of of Wood Veil sometimes. I got Wooden veil on CD while back just because I saw it in a 2nd hand music shop and felt like having a physical copy and it took me like a month to realise that theres an extra track on the CD thats missing from the version Id originally dl'd and the vinyl tracklist>John MartynI love his 70s stuff inc Solid Air ofc but never bothered with the 80s stuff. I suppose I assumed he went to shit in the 80s like most other 70s holdouts. any good?>>129267388>Do Barroco às Barrancas do Riosounds nice, ty. that Gnome album is good too and Sabbath obviouslytry Avaruuskorpraali Paha Hirvi - Kindheit or maybe Ayahuasca Dark Trip - Upayahttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wy9RWH50hichttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeoDQf7KFtM>>129267389today I will listen to Sleepwalker
>>129267609seeing a release in person at a store always makes me more likely to buy it, that's cool. i just found out a store near me has a cassette from an old hardcore band local to my high school days, small world im gonna try to grab it tonight. i'll throw Excepter on my list, bleepier sounds coolactually im on a kick of 80s sophisti-pop/songwriter stuff (The Blue Nile, Bruce Hornsby, etc). so I stumbled upon John Martyn's 80s stuff before his 70s stuff, it's very much to my tastes but im not sure that's means i recommend it lol. though i think the playing on Grace & Danger is really restrained and tasteful from all performers (Phil Collins on drums!), fun but sad album, a combination i love>>129267389>"canadangular" charteven years later Women and Palm are the only ones ive gotten around to yet lol, that's a throwback. haven't seen many niche charts like that recently, maybe the streaming era made things seem more universal and less scene-based? or this board loves sabrina carpenter too much now to be botherednice Max Roach>androgynous mindthis was cool. i only just learned Cindy Lee had anything to do with the band women>>129267388when i see a king diamond album cover i hear his shriek in the back of my head like it's a cartoon trope
