if you try to understand that mr bungle album intellectually youre listening to it wrong. its supposed to be stupid adhd bullshit and its supposed to purposefully piss you off (see the My Ass Is On Fire video if you actually care. theyre breaking stuff and diving into each other on stage.) mike patton &co. came from a much more sincere thrash metal background, meaning their earlier stuff was very punky in attitude, and then got access to a wide variety of music as time went on, which explains the disrespectful but eclectic sound here. if you dont enjoy stupid chaotic bullshit that hates its audience the album wont click. but if you can understand it as annoying and try to work with it theres a lot of value in it imo
