i dont expect many people to reply butdo you guys prefer the original "dirtier" versions, or the cleaner sound of the "complete sessions" remasters?only now do i compare the two, and the echo / delay sound on the remaster kinda kills the mood in a baad way :/heres the twohttps://youtube.com/shorts/3mrJCejcKTU
that being said i prefer the drums on the remaster because you can hear them.
>>129273316i hear the drums better on the original if that short is anything to go by?
Yeah I definitely prefer the original version. The In A Silent Way complete sessions are exceptional though.
I used to love this album but On the Corner mogs it hard
>>129275556>The In A Silent Way complete sessions i still have so much shit from miles to go through, this is way down on the list... i heard the ghetto walk the other day and it sounded cool as hell tho. >>129275926truth, but on the corner doesnt have voodoo down or pharaohs dance :)
great expectations goes hard...
>>129276429slappiest drums ever heard
>>129275492its a 27m track so its really up to taste, but theres some parts on the original where the drums are compressed so hard it sounds flat as hell, which can be cool sometimes. the remaster brings everything forward (surface noise included...)
>>129277790>surface noiseI'm pretty sure this was recorded to tape, not wax cylinder.
>>129278707then its tape noise i suppose
>>129279125We in the trade call it tape hiss
