No

It actually is true. People would just shit on them and say they sucked if you tried to talk about them. I remember trying to make a thread back when I bought the Mono box set, but it was useless. Anons just kept calling me a pleb, which used to be this board's favorite word, or they'd post the Scaruffi pasta. Imagine boyband fag, except there's, like, five of them; I honestly think it was a Skype group or something. It was retarded.
>>
No, boyband fag is a lying faggot

There were more and louder Beatles haters but it wasn’t the majority.
>>
if you don't think The Beatles are the best band you're a complete idiot
>>
I used to be a /mu/tant circa 2013-14, only decided to pop in and see if there was any reaction to Kanye delayung Bully again (pretty sure it was supposed it release today)
But yeah, anyway, the Beatles were definitely memed on and not of much interest to people. There was occasional threads and some very knowledgeable fans but our generation wasn't really into the Beatles. I think that's largely because they were too expensive to include in other media and rarely received radio play due to a whole tangle of music rights issues etc so our childhoods were only older people talking about how great a band they were and 5 seconds of Hey Jude or something.
Also back then, there was a full on poptimist embrace of mainstream music as well as the first bug internet subgenre booms like witch house and vaporwave etc.
Felt like everything was looking forward and the beatles represented everything boomerish.

The Beatles had two phases
>boy band recycling American rock n roll from 10 years prior
>stupid hippie bullshit
Why they were so universally venerated is fucking beyond me.

Reminder that these faggots were responsible for making boomers in the West think that India was cool and pajeets were some kind of wise mystics.

Why? The answer: good music

A lot of people got into meditation because of the Beatles. Pretty based if you ask me. Meditation is amazing.

I think making a cup of coffee without fucking it up is beyond you, princess.

>lives in an extremely rare time period where the west has open access to methods of discipline which not only help you to perfect the human mind & body in this life but ultimately allow you to liberate yourself from the pain of human existence altogether
>this information is widespread in the west in part due to the work of one ultrapopular psychedelic pop group
>allows (you)r petty attachments to racist memes to stop you from taking advantage of this ancient technique & becoming a superman

Lmao, wish you better luck next lifetime friend

What I like about meditation is it helps you to go beyond the material illusion and to see the oneness of all things
>>
>>129274683
i think /mu/ has become more poptimist over time, once it became uncool to hate rap as a blanket statement it opened the doors for all sorts of stuff

This.

Poptimism is social engineering. The doors weren't opened, they were hit with a battering ram
