What's the best New Order album and why is it Technique?
bland post-African repetitions
singles band
>>129278064>but I never met a girl with all her own teeth
>>129278064Patrician choice. It is indeed their best, perfect post-punk electronica combo.
>>129280370>Stuff multiple singles into an album >Album is a hitI see no issue
Low-Life
>>129280739This is a based as fuck choice too though
>>129278064>aggressively middling>one song is literally a ripoff of just like heaven but worseband died with ian
What does it say about me if this is my favorite New Order record?
for some reason when I first pirated this album it had Blue Monday as the closing and that made me love it at bit less when I started using streaming
>>129280361i rexornize this meme hxxhai wonder if anyone else does
>>129278064Why are new order lyrics so bad. Like on the first album they're alright but they get worse and worse
>>129282939New Order lyrics are real talk, you must be smoking the hard fume
It's Get Ready! and anybody who disagrees has bad taste.
>>129281719I think Blue Monday is grossly overrated. True Faith slaps tho
>>129282939Because Bernard Sumner is a terrible lyricist and vocalist, I guess he's passable at guitar. It's pathetic how everyone else seemed to grow as musicians and Bernard never bothered. And Movement's lyrics were so obviously carryover from Ian Curtis.
>>129280739>>129281260Yep. Nothing tops their first album.
>>129287748You guys think their first album is better than their later material? I'm sorry, you can like what you like but this is objectively the wrong opinion to have. I'll admit dreams never end is a 10/10 post punk song but the rest of the album is inconsistent thematically and sonically. Good stuff but nothing as good as technique or power corruption lies. Movement is their holdover period transitioning from Joy Division into New Order. Perfectly fine for what it is but either listen to JD or later NO. If the whole album had been as good or like Dreams never end it would have been another classic post punk album but it had awkward experimentation with electronic stuff that they'd do better on PCL and onward. Sorry but these are just my two cents
>>129280739Practically a Joy Division album
