my cigar burns for a million years
and currency is relative, and gold is physical
I feel your net worth, I feel your assets
I see the eye of God shine through the bank teller's screen
>>
Gira wrote that the inspiration for these lyrics came to him as he was withdrawing from his trust fund
>>
I spent a million at a fancy chateau
I bought a beamer and colombian snow
the cash was burning holes into my pocket
where does the trust fund end?

Wouldnt he have spent his trust fund money on a better studio to record this album in?

his father taught him to get the maximum amount of returns by cutting costs

Is that why he wasted all his money trying to market the burning world. Would probably be better value throwing it away desu
>>

he was convinced that the burning world was gonna be a huge hit with enough marketing. obviously he was wrong and the experience humbled him and taught him to make wiser decisions with his money, he even wrote a song about this (Blind). it should be said though that he didn't even come CLOSE to spending all of his money on the burning world, it was merely one investment out of many for him
