I wish they kept making goth rock. Their take was actually more interesting than most other bands, and clearly copied by Swans in the 90s (its true open your ears).

the mars voltathe self-titled album clicked after a while and has fun moments but the newest one is just hot garbage
GhostStumbled upon the first album way back in 2012 on YT (discovered so much music {that I still enjoy} with whatever algorithm they had back them, what a loss). It's no masterpiece, but I enjoyed the constrast between the catchy, self-aware songwriting and the rawer production and aesthetic and felt there was a lot of potential for them to elaborate on that style. Then they went directly into a "overpolished pop rock but with a satanic metal coat of paint" approach and I haven't really cared since
