I have never heard a single song from "Chris Brown" in my entire life nor do I know what he looks like and I have never met a single person online or irl who would consider themselves a fan of him, but I hear about him everywhere and the joke that he beats women
I'm starting to think this is just a forced meme and there's no real musician named "Chris Brown"

Chris Brown was at peak popularity nearly decade and a half ago so it's fine. He made a good mish-mash of upbeat R&B with pop rap, and his dancing skills were unmatched. Good high register vocals that often clashed with dated production. He collaborated with pretty much everyone but maintained a steady solo career. Some still believe he's the closest thing the world ever got to a true MJ disciple. People have largely moved on from the Rihanna incident but it was a big deal at the time because the idea that such a positive and uplifting artist could also be a domestic abuser shocked everyone.

It’s been a long time since he had a real hit
